Mid-Week Meditation for Wednesday, August 26, 2020

Bach's Magnificat, by Vox Luminis.

Here's a poem, Sea Glass, by Bernadette Noll

I want to age like sea glass.
Smoothed by tides
But not broken.
I want to ride the waves
And go with the flow.
I want to catch a wave
And let it carry me
To where I belong.
I want to be picked up
And held gently by
Those who delight in my
Well earned patina and
Appreciate the changes I went
Through to achieve that beauty.
I want to enjoy the journey
And always remember that if
You give the ocean something
Breakable it will turn it into
Something beautiful.

Words of Wisdom from Albert Camus
in the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love.
In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile.
In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm.
I realized, through it all, that in the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there is something stronger - something better, pushing right back.

Mazurka in A minor, Op 67, No. 4, by Chopin, played by Mme Thai Thi Lien, who is 100 years old.

Fantaisie-Impromptu, by Chopin, on Harp.

A qote from the late John Lewis:
Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.
